We often get the comment/question about AMS vs SB. Here’s a take on that.
AMS has sulphate, which is SO4, it is immediately leachable in the soil but it also immediately available. SB is elemental and must be oxidized in order to be absorbed by the plant. It will give around 30-40% of the available sulfur during the current season but will also build S content in the soil for future plantings. It helps soil health by feeding the soil microbes that oxidize the sulphur, AMS does not help soil health. SB is a slow release product and AMS is immediate release. SB will give the plant sulfur throughout the growing season while AMS offers only immediate effects.

is ideal for soil amendment purposes, and also helps reduce high levels of sodium and lime.

with Bentonite clay provides a unique time-release formula to ensure slow breakdown and long-term improvements in soil.

About & Benefist

the Sulfur provides sulfur throughout the growing season. Factors such as soil type, temperature, aeration and moisture can influence the exact results.

show that after the product has been disintegrated in water for 24 hours, approximately 60% of the product turns into a very fine powder which likely available as Sulfate through the first year.

Our product is 90% Sulfur and 10% bentonite clay. It is formed into uniform split pea pastilles engineered to breakdown throughout the growing season giving sulfur to the plant for the duration of the cycle. Our SGN lines up with industry standards and while its color may differ from others producers, this is only due to the source of bentonite used. Everything produced at RSS is coated with an anti-dust agent helping to preserve the quality of the product. We do not store any product in bulk, only bagged, which helps keep the product protected and ensure that it arrives safely and in good condition to our customers.
01applied alone or also blended with other fertilizers.
02on recommendations from an agronomist based on soil tests & crop removal rates of sulfur.
03can be used in soil conditioning to help improve plant growth and health.
04is highly effective when applied to crops that require high sulfur.
